About This Event
Join us June 21st from 2-4pm for a meaningful, hands-on Medicine Bag Workshop led by Siera, a First Nations 2-Spirit (she/they) Kwe/Nini from Wiikwemkoong.
In this engaging session, participants will create their own traditional medicine bag while listening to storytelling that shares the significance and teachings behind this practice. Together, we’ll explore local Indigenous traditions and their continued relevance today through creativity, connection, and learning.
Siera is the founder of the Three Sisters Indigenous Crafts Market, with a vision to Indigenize urban spaces through authentic representation, resilience, and community. They are deeply involved in supporting Indigenous-led initiatives and fostering meaningful cultural connections.
This workshop offers a unique opportunity to learn, create, and reflect in a welcoming and inclusive space

The Movie: Bones of Crows is a psychological drama told through the eyes of Cree Matriarch Aline Spears, as she survives Canada's residential school system to continue her family's generational fight in the face of systemic starvation, racism, and sexual abuse. Bones of Crows unfolds over one hundred years with a cumulative force that propels us into the future. Adult content
