About This Event
Join us for a friendly, in-person, and informative session where we’ll talk openly about cervical cancer, HPV, and why cervical screening is important.
You’ll learn how cervical cancer can be prevented through HPV testing (formerly the Pap test) and how HPV tests and the HPV vaccine help protect your health. There will be time to ask questions and get clear, accurate information in a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space. Whether you are due for screening, want to learn more, or are supporting someone else, everyone is welcome.
This session is for women or anyone with a cervix that is 25-69 years of age with or without a family doctor or nurse practitioner.
At the end of the workshop, participants will have the option to share their contact information to book a cervical screening appointment with Health for All Family Health Team.
The session will be led by a Health Promotion Coordination Advisor from the Central Regional Cancer Program.
