About This Event

Want to learn how to add custom audio to your films and videos? Perhaps a voiceover? Join us in our Introduction to Recording Voiceover for Film in Audacity workshop!

Audacity is an easy-to-use, multi-track audio editor and recorder for Windows, macOS, GNU/Linux and other operating systems. Audacity is a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) that is FREE to download. This makerspace demonstration will provide instruction on how to use this program to get you started with sound editing and recording. We will cover how to edit sound, what effects this program has to offer on your vocals and how to mix down your different tracks.

At the end of the session you will receive a quick tour of Markham Village's sound booth and more information on how to book the space.

With your new skills, why not participate in our upcoming Markham Village Film Festival? Hope to see you there.

Please note: if you are looking to use our makerspaces independently, you must be 13+ and complete this online Makerspace module. Once completed, our staff can update your profile and you will be maker certified!
