About This Event
Want to learn how to edit a song? Record a podcast or audiobook? Join us in our Introduction to Sound Recording with Audacity workshop! Audacity is an easy-to-use, multi-track audio editor and recorder for Windows, macOS, GNU/Linux and other operating systems. Audacity is a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) that is FREE to download. This workshop will provide step-by-step instructions on how to use this program to get you started in your future career in sound editing and recording. We will cover how to edit sound, what effects this program has to offer on your vocals and how to mix down your different tracks.
At the end of the session you will receive a quick tour of Markham Village's sound booth and more information on how to book the space.
Please note participants will need to bring their own laptop with the free Audacity software installed.
