About This Event
Let's talk affordability!
Affordability is shaping daily life for people across our community — from housing and groceries to transportation and childcare and more! This community conversation brings residents together to share experiences, explore challenges, and discuss ideas for building a more affordable future.
During this session, participants will take part in guided small‑group discussions on affordability and how it affects your daily life. The goal is to create a space where everyone’s voice is valued and where practical, community‑driven solutions can begin to take shape through discussions and sharing. Staff will be taking note during discussion so Markham library can be informed on how to improve our services to meet the needs of our community, all notes will be confidential to protect the privacy of all participants.
NOTE: Light dinner (meat sandwiches, salad, and samosa) and child-minding will be provided. Please email us if you are bringing any children.
