About This Event

Don't be afraid of tax!

This program is for anyone who wants to better understand how taxes work and how to best manage it for themselves. It introduces the Canadian income tax system, explains why taxes exist, and clarifies the difference between tax deductions and tax credits. Participants learn how to prepare and file a tax return, where to find reliable help—including free tax clinics—and how to make informed plans for refunds and benefits. The program also covers who should file a return and the many government supports available to those who do.
