Meet Your Neighbours: Community Walk & Park Picnic! 👋

Celebrate Welcoming Week with a fun and friendly community gathering designed to help you and your neighbours connect and feel at home in your neighbourhood! 

Meet at the entrance of Cornell Library for a complimentary coffee☕️and discover interesting facts about the library you may not know. Then, using conversation cards to spark casual discussion, we'll enjoy a 20‑minute walk from the Library to Cornell Community Park, where families can take part in simple icebreaker games. Please feel free to pack your own picnic lunch to enjoy together with new friends.

Join us to make new connections, learn about your community, and celebrate belonging. Whether you're attending on your own, with friends, or with family members of any age from babies in strollers to grandparents, everyone is welcome!

Newcomer-serving organizations will lead activities and be on-site to share helpful information and resources. Cantonese and Mandarin-speaking support will also be available.
