Fatal Two-Vehicle Collision in Vaughan Under Investigation

York Regional Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle collision that occurred in Vaughan, resulting in one death and multiple injuries.

York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit is seeking witnesses following a fatal two-vehicle collision in Vaughan. The incident occurred on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at approximately 7:40 p.m., in the area of Jane Street and Brandon Gate Drive.

The collision involved a yellow vintage sport coupe, occupied by two people, and a black SUV, occupied by three people. The driver of the sport coupe was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The passenger of the sport coupe, a 34-year-old man from Stoney Creek, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

All three occupants of the black SUV were transported to a trauma centre. One passenger is in life-threatening condition, and two other occupants sustained serious injuries. Investigators are asking for witnesses who have not yet spoken with police and anyone with dashcam footage from the area around the time of the collision to come forward.
