Police Seek Suspect After Markham Shooting

York Regional Police Firearms Investigations Team is seeking public assistance to identify a suspect following a shooting in Markham. On Saturday, August 15, 2026, police responded to a weapons call at a residence near Major Mackenzie Drive East and Angus Glen Boulevard shortly after 11:30 a.m.

Investigators determined that around 6:20 a.m. on the same day, a male suspect discharged a firearm toward the rear of a residence before leaving on an e-scooter through a nearby golf course. Evidence of gunfire and damage to a vehicle were found at the scene. No physical injuries were reported.

Police are asking anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information, dash camera footage, or residential surveillance video from the area during the early morning hours of August 15, 2026, to come forward.
