How to get drop-in times

Lane swims, recreational swims and aquafit are listed in the City's public swim schedules. Endurance lane swims at the Pan Am Centre are for ages 10 and up, with fast, medium and slow lanes.

  1. Open the City of Markham public swims page and choose a pool.
  2. Pick a lane swim, recreational swim or aquafit time.
  3. Pay at the front desk, or use a Recreation Activity Pass.

What it costs

  • Drop-in swim admission: $5.17 for adults (16+), $3.10 for children (15 and under), $3.63 for older adults (65+), $13.45 for a family (up to 2 adults and 4 children), plus HST. Fees effective September 1, 2026. Source
  • The 1-month Recreation Activity Pass covers lane swims, endurance lane swims and recreational swims: $49.82 for adults, plus HST ($57.54 with aquafit). Source

Getting started

Public pools run lane swims for fitness, leisure swims for fun, and family swims for parents and young children. Most swims cost a few dollars, and passes cost less per visit.

  • Morgan and Rouge River outdoor pools open only in the summer.
  • Thornhill has a warm therapy pool (35 C) for gentle exercise.
