Police Identify Second Shooting Incident at July Vaughan Club Event

Investigators with the York Regional Police Firearms Investigation Team have identified a second shooting incident and are seeking public assistance to identify a suspect. The incident occurred at a Vaughan club in July 2026.

On Sunday, July 5, 2026, at approximately 2:20 a.m., police responded to reports of gunfire at a nightclub near Steeles Avenue and Scholes Road. Two male suspects reportedly confronted security, discharged a firearm, and struck an adult male patron. The patron was transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. These two suspects remain unidentified.

Following an investigation, a second shooting was identified, occurring shortly after the initial incident. This second shooting has been determined to be unrelated to the first. In this second incident, a male suspect discharged a firearm multiple times from a dark-coloured BMW sport utility vehicle as it drove through the plaza parking lot. No one was struck, and no injuries were reported.

Investigators are seeking public assistance to identify a suspect in connection with the second shooting. He is described as a Black male, between 25 and 35 years old, with a heavy build. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with writing on the front, blue knee-length jean shorts, a black baseball hat, and white sneakers, and was carrying a black crossbody bag. Police are appealing to anyone with information, surveillance video, or dashcam footage from the area to come forward.
