Police Seek Drivers of Three Vehicles in Vaughan Fatal Hit and Run Investigation

York Regional Police are seeking information from drivers of three vehicles seen in security video related to a fatal hit and run collision in Vaughan.

York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit is looking to speak with the drivers of three vehicles. These vehicles were seen in security video shortly before a victim was fatally struck in Vaughan.

On Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at approximately 2 p.m., officers responded to reports of an unresponsive adult on Pine Valley Drive north of Major Mackenzie Drive. Officers located a deceased woman at the scene.

The investigation determined that on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at approximately 8:30 p.m., the victim was walking northbound on Pine Valley Drive from Major Mackenzie Drive. She was fatally struck by a northbound vehicle that fled. Security video shows the victim walking northbound, and minutes later, three vehicles are seen traveling northbound moments apart. Investigators are hoping to speak with these drivers to obtain information.

Police are also appealing to residents in subdivisions north of the collision, from Ballantyne Road to Teston Road, to check dash cameras or home security video between 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Anyone with information who has not yet spoken with police is asked to come forward.
