Police Seek Suspect in Richmond Hill Commercial Robbery
York Regional Police are seeking public assistance to identify a suspect involved in a commercial robbery in Richmond Hill.
On Friday, June 26, 2026, at approximately 3:10 p.m., officers responded to a report of a commercial robbery near Carrville Road and Avenue Road. A male suspect entered a store, approached the counter, and used a note to demand cash while threatening the victim. The suspect then threatened the victim with a box cutter. The suspect fled on foot after the victim threatened to contact police. No physical injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion, in his mid-to-late 20s, approximately 160 cm tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a black jacket, dark pants, red and white Converse shoes, and a black mask, and was carrying a box cutter.
Investigators are asking anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
