Practitioner Charged in Richmond Hill Sexual Assault Investigation
York Regional Police have charged a Richmond Hill practitioner following a sexual assault investigation.
Investigators with the York Regional Police #2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have charged a practitioner after a sexual assault investigation in Richmond Hill.
The incident occurred on Sunday, August 30, 2026, when a victim attended an acupuncture massage appointment near Major Mackenzie Drive East and Bayview Avenue. During this appointment, the victim was sexually assaulted.
Jianji LI, 61, of Richmond Hill, was arrested the following day and charged with Sexual Assault. Police have released his photo, stating they believe there may be additional victims.
York Regional Police encourage anyone who believes they have been a victim of sexual assault to report the incident to police. There is no statute of limitations for sexual offences.
