What events are happening in Newmarket this weekend?

Newmarket's weekends revolve around its historic downtown and waterfront parks. The Newmarket Farmers' Market runs Saturday mornings at Riverwalk Commons from spring through fall. The Newmarket Theatre and Old Town Hall round out the calendar with performances and exhibitions. Where can I find free events in Newmarket?

Free events are a Newmarket strength, thanks to its compact, walkable downtown. Riverwalk Commons offers free outdoor skating in winter and free concerts and splash-pad days in summer, while Main Street's seasonal festivals and the Saturday farmers' market (spring through fall) cost nothing to browse. Newmarket Public Library runs free programs most days — storytimes, tech help, teen clubs, and conversation circles. Fairy Lake Park hosts free community festivals and celebrations through the warmer months, and Old Town Hall regularly offers free or low-cost exhibitions. Select the 'Free Events' filter at the top of this page to see every no-cost Newmarket listing, verified against the organizer's posting. New events are added daily, and York Happening's weekly newsletter flags the best free activities each week.
