Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Newmarket
A 20-year-old Newmarket woman died after being struck by a vehicle on Davis Drive.
York Regional Police are investigating after a pedestrian was fatally struck in Newmarket. The incident occurred on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at approximately 6 p.m., in the area of Davis Drive and Bathurst Street.
Officers responded to reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. An adult female, 20 years old and from Newmarket, was found with serious injuries. She was transported to a hospital where she was pronounced deceased shortly after.
The vehicle and its driver remained at the scene. No charges have been laid, and the investigation is ongoing.
Investigators are asking for witnesses who have not yet spoken with police, or anyone with dash camera footage from the area around the time of the collision, to contact them.
