Public Skating in Richmond Hill
Bring your own skates in Richmond Hill, because no City arena rents or sharpens them. The current drop-in schedule runs from September 28 to March 31, 2027, at four arenas. Outdoor ice comes later, once the weather allows.

Arenas with drop-in public skating
Schedule and days off
The arena-by-arena times are on the City skating page, so this guide leaves them out. The same page lists exclusion dates with no drop-in skating, including December 25 and 26 and January 1. Some exclusion dates apply to one arena only.
Drop-in fees
A single visit costs $5.90 for an adult, $3.55 for a child and $4.15 for a senior. A group of up to five pays $14.35.
The 10-visit pass costs $53.10 for an adult, $31.85 for a child and $37.20 for a senior. Skate memberships run from September through March.
Rules for children
Skaters aged 5 and under must wear a CSA-approved ice hockey helmet, and the City recommends a helmet for everyone. A parent or guardian aged 14 or older must come to the arena with any child aged 9 or under.
